In November 1942, Vicente Galilea Serrano signed the first insurance policy of the Insurance Agency that will bear his name. He specializes in the field of life. Nobody could imagine at that time that this elementary and simple fact gave rise to what is currently Grupo Galilea.
Market demands and the needs of our clients lead to an expansion of the offer to all types of personal insurance.
With the incorporation of his son José Mª Galilea Puig in 1970, the Agency underwent a rapid evolution, becoming a cabinet of multi-branch and multi-sector professionals, prepared to adapt the needs of our clients to market developments.
The Agency changes its name and is renamed "Galilea Gabinete Técnico de Seguros".
The rapid evolution and growth of the cabinet brought about spectacular changes at the end of the 1980s, when it extended its activity to the entire national territory, expanding the portfolio to more than 25,000 clients.
In the early 90s, we took a new step forward. The Cabinet becomes a Company under the name of “Grupo Galilea & Asociados, SA” with José Mª Galilea as CEO.
