The word “brasserie” comes from French and was originally derived from “brasser”, in German “brewer”. The first brasseries emerged in Alsace around 1800 and were small taverns selling groceries, fresh meals and freshly brewed beer. - The welcome revitalization of the old breweries in northern France, especially towards the Belgian border, which have been converted into restaurants and hotels. Today, a brasserie is associated with a type of restaurant with upscale furnishings, in which freshly prepared dishes, regional beer and good wine, as well as a selection of fine spirits are served. - The team at "Brasserie zu Gutenberg" written on the flag in Jägerstrasse. Our first Potsdamer Brasserie has been open since June 2010, where our team will happily serve you freshly prepared dishes. Here we are inspired by the French classics. We would also like to introduce you to our fresh products and specialties. On the one hand, we offer you original French dishes and, on the other hand, our interpretations of German and French cuisine, which you can enjoy with a good glass of wine or regional beer. After dinner, our exquisite selection of cocktails and digestives invites you to linger. - We are also happy to organize your celebrations for you. Whether a birthday, wedding or company party - our professional service team will discuss your wishes with you and accompany you through every event with great attention to detail. In addition to our 60 indoor and 30 outdoor seats, four guest rooms are available on the upper floor of the house.
