Design Tagebuch

I founded the Design Diary in 2006, and I've been writing about design ever since. On the other hand, I've been creative since 1991. I studied communication design at the Hanover University of Applied Sciences in Hanover (1994 to 1999). As in the 10-year agency that followed, the focus here was on digital media. Then, as Head of Design, I was responsible for the visual appearance of the Hannoversche Allgemeine (digital). I have been self-employed since February 2011. I am active as a juror in various competitions, including the European Design Awards. I conceive and design communication design solutions for companies and brands. I also support companies within design processes. In particular, where (communication) design emerges from the haze of the creative industry and becomes very specific applications that can be experienced in everyday life, a field of tension arises that is worth examining in more detail.
