The first Live Escape Games were held in Japan in 2007. At that time the issue of a prison breakout was still in the foreground. The game is played in a group with the specified time of 60 minutes. Participants must solve all puzzles within this hour in order to escape from prison.
In 2011 the Hungarians saw the potential in this adventure game and developed room escape games mostly in basement rooms. The games had their success and so many more puzzle rooms were created.
Germany was not spared either and followed this trend. And so the first Room Escape Game opened in Munich in 2013. In the years that followed, business boomed and grew in popularity over time.
